Her Shorts 2008 in Tucson, AZ


Becoming Formless (2007) will be featured among several amazing short films at Her Shorts 2008: International Women's Video Festival, taking place April 28 & 29 at the Dinnerware ArtSpace in Tucson, Arizona. This festival is coordinated by the Plugged Art Collective, a fantastic group supporting women video artists, with the help of the Tucson Pima Arts Council and the Puffin Foundation. Airline to Heaven, Part I installation appears in Chicago Art Open



Airline to Heaven, Part I will be on view at the Chicago Art Open this October. This is a huge group show put together by the Chicago Artists Coalition.
The 10th Annual Chicago Art Open will take place October 4 - 27, 2007 at Iron Studios, 3636 S. Iron St., Chicago, IL 60609. Hours: 11am-5pm daily.

Love in outer space and under water, NYC premier at Cine Capellini 2007

Love in outer space and under water, the first Heckman animation without dead animals & blood, will be screening in New York City on September 28 & 29 at Cine Capellini, hosted by Kamel Boutros & Anna Mosby Coleman. Many thanks to Anna & Kamel; this is Cine Capellini's second run, and last year's event was an amazing combination of home-cooked food & video art. Thank you to artist/curator Jason Lahr and the South Bend Regional Museum of Art for sponsoring the creation of this silent 4-channel animation and hosting its viewing at Meet Me on the Island in South Bend, Indiana earlier this year.




28 & 29 September
Cine Capellini, a performance and new media venue, provides a pasta festa along with mesmerizing film & video in a celebratory setting. Artists Kamel Boutros & Anna Mosby Coleman will host the Fall 2007 New York City event at 61 Gramercy Park on 28 September at 6:30pm & on 29 September at 2pm.
